ELECTROLESS NICKEL PLATING MIL-C-26074
Electroless Nickel Plating is a metal surface coating technique obtaining nickel atoms by auto-catalytic chemical reduction method without the use of electric current. Coatings obtained by this method have 88-95 % nickel (Nİ) where non metal elements such as phosphorous (P) are brought into surface and become part of the coating. Fields of use of electroless nickel is increasing at a high rate in current years. The reason is its specifications and the functional superior features it adds to the coated, plated material. Some of these features are as follows;
* High resistance to corrosion,
* Wear and high hardness,
* Coatability on metal and non metal surfaces (cast iron, aluminum. Steel, stainless, brass, copper)
* It provides coatings of homogenous, equal thickness on irregular surfaces (inside the holes, blank holes, cavities etc).
* Soldering is applicable,
* Coatings of required values and thicknesses are achieved,
